UV Inks
UV inks only dry under the influence of UV light. Besides pigments and binding agents the UV ink consists of photo initiators which start the polymerisation process beyond the influence of UV light. This is a chemical reaction which takes place within tenths of seconds. A big advantage of UV inks is that this kind of ink does not dry within the printing head or at the rollers. That implies shorter change-over times, a stable printing process and a higher uptime for you machine.
UV inks have a shelf life of 6 months.
As part of our ink program we deliver also additives and auxiliaries such as cleaning detergents, bonding additives, drying retarders or tack reducers. These can be mixed up
with the inks to improve the printing characteristics.
Grauel supplies a range of UV inks for different substrates, e.g PP, ABS, PS, PVC, PET, Glass, Steel, etc. For more information. Please move to the download area for the safety data sheets and additional information.
